Play date with Conner

For the last several weeks I have been promising Conner a play date. Well yesterday we finally got together. We had so much fun together. We went to the Christmas Exibit at the Musium of Idaho. It was really fun. They had all kinds of Santa Clauses and Ginger Bread Houses and Nativity Scenes. We than went to McDonald's for lunch. He had a great time playing on the toys. Thanks Conner for a fun day!!!!

"Belated Merry Christmas to Friends and Loved Ones"
The month of December went by in a blur. Parties, shopping and "work". Yes, that four letter word we all love. I was busy at work with caterings and parties. I'm glad for that reason alone to have the holiday's over. I normally have all my shopping done by December but not this year. Christmas was different for us this year. In all our married life, this is the first time we didn't have kids home Christmas morning to open gifts. It was really strange. I thought we might actually get to sleep in...not!! Ardery was up at 6:45. He is a kid after all :). I did get a new camera, so when I learn to use it, I will post pic's. Once again we had lots and lots of food to eat for Christmas dinner. Andy wanted turkey and Jake wanted ham.....so we had both! Grandpa and Grandma Andrews came over for dinner. It's good to have so much family around this time of year. We really did miss seeing Jason, Jennifer and Keeley this Christmas. When half your family is missing, you really notice it. I love it when all the kids are home. So.....till next time, have a safe and happy new year!!!!!!

Where do I begin? The month of November went by so quickly that I can't remember it. The last I remember was waiting on pins and needles for Andy to call to let me know that Tessa Mae had been born. I was eating lunch at work when he called. Everyone at work knew I was waiting for this call. My mind was all over the place. I had a hard time focusing. So when I finally got the call, I just couldn't stay at work. A co-worker said she would cover for me, so off to the hospital I went (after I picked up Ardery). What a joy!!!! There is nothing like a new baby. Except------another baby. Yes, 4 days later I got a call at 6:30 in the morning from Jennifer. So off to Utah I went. There we waited 12 hours for Lily May to be born. Once again the joy of being a grandmother. The last part of that week I brought Jenn and the girls (Ayla and Lily) home with me. It was so much fun having the house full of noise again. And believe me Ayla can make noise. Dad and I slept down stairs in one of the bedrooms. That was a first for us. Now I know what my kids are talking about when they say "That bed sucks"!! So we moved to the other bedroom. Much better. :) For Thanksgiving Day, we had 4 of our children home. Jason and his family (who live in Washington) had already been down 3 times this year, so they couldn't make it home and Keeley, who lives in South Carolina, was home in July. But we had the rest Andy, Jeremy, Jennifer and Heather and their families for dinner. What a house full. For weeks Andy has been saying how he can't wait for Thanksgiving Dinner. It was really good this year. As we sat around the table eating I couldn't help but feel so much love for my family. I only wish they all could have been there. We have so much to be grateful for. Jennifer went home on Sunday. The house is so quiet. I can't wait for Christmas - all the noise!!!

I witnessed a miracle Sunday. I was in the delivery room with Jennifer when she delivered Lily. This was a first for me. Actually watching the birth of a baby. It is different when you are the one having the baby. I am still in awe. Lily was 7 lbs 10 oz. and 20 inches long. I feel so blessed to have two new granddaughters this week. This makes 10 grandchildren for us. I love my children and grandchildren so much.

Yesterday another miracle entered into our lives and family. Tessa Mae Andrews was born just before 2:00 p.m. on November 5, 2008. She weighted in at 6 pounds and 18 1/2 inches long. Such a tiny little girl. She does have very fine blonde hair, unlike her big brother and sister. I do believe is looks alot like her daddy when he was born. Grandpa and myself are so excited for this new addition to our family. She is number 9 grandchild. Good Job Andy and Nelli!!!

Well another Halloween has come and gone. This year I dressed up as the "Queen of the Nile". It is always fun to see the reaction from people at work. I am the only one who dresses up. All that week people were asking what I was going as this year. We were busy that day, I think from people who came in just to see me....lol. By the time I got home, I could not wait to get out of my costume. We had trunk or treat at the church that night and boy did I get it from alot of people. Paris Evans had his camera all ready to take my pic. What a disappointment I was. I wore my boo shirt enstead. I just couldn't make myself get dressed up again and put on all that make -up and eyelashes. I am thinking of next years costume already. It should be fun. Hope all of you had a safe and fun Halloween.

Grateful

A couple of months ago my sister, Cindie, gave me a book to read. "When You Can't Do It Alone by Brent L. Top. I truely believe that she was inspired to give me this book. With everything that has been going on in my life for the last 2 years, I really needed to have my cup filled up again. Family is so very important and having the unconditional love of family and friends is so important. To all of you who have been a part of my life.....thank you and I love you.

Change is good!

Every once in awhile I get the bug. Yes the bug to change things. So for the last couple of weeks I have been working on my kitchen. I took off all of the old wall paper and patched up holes and than painted. We finally put up crown molding, something I have wanted for a long time. The colors I chose are not what most people would choose but it looks good to me. The north and east wall is done in gray and the south and west wall is done in Ivory. You can't see much of the gray because of the fridge and stove but it still looks good. It matches the tile. If I could I would post pic's but I guess you will have to use your imagination.

I can't believe I'm doing this!!

I am entering into the unknown. I do enjoy reading everyone else's blogs but never thought I would have one myself. Thanks Heather!!!
Hopefully I can keep up with this. When my husband saw the background he said "Who is that woman!!!!!" Yes, he does miss my long hair. A year ago I cut it off real short. Never before in my life have I had it this short. But now I am trying to grow it out again. As you all know and for those who do not know, I have 6 wonderful Children. They are my life. I am also blessed with 8 terrific grandchildren. And 2 on the way. When all the kids come home we truely burst at the seams. But it is great. I love it!! Well that is all for now.....I have to go paint my kitchen.

They have one now too

I set mom up with a blog, so hopefully she will post something soon.
